Editing with audacity was an interesting experience. The program seemed similar to past video editing softwares I had used, however the manner in which one selects tools and audio to edit on the program is very unintuitive. That said, I was able to record myself and transition this audio into audio I found in the creative commons (One of the Nixon Tapes). To achieve this transition, I tweaked the audio levels so that the sound would fade in and out of each clip. I also increased the volume of the entire podcast and make it slightly right-aligned, because why not. I did see an option to “scrub” audio which I would be interested in learning more about. I wonder what else this program can be used for.
