Phew, even on my first day I am beginning to see how this job requires learning on the fly. My first immediate problem was that I could not figure out how to open up the editing dashboard of my wordpress site. After poking around cPanel and finally figuring it out, I had trouble figuring out how to edit my site’s theme and appearance. However, after a Google search and a quick foray onto the Vivero Mediawiki, I was able to figure this out. I suppose the lesson here is that this fellowship position requires the ability to do my own research and the patience to sift through Google search results looking for answers. Moreover, a decent amount of perseverance is probably required, as well as the humility to ask others for help. I will probably have more tweaks to make to my portfolio site, but I am liking how it is shaping up. I do need to remember to look into wordpress plugins though, as the theme I selected recommends installing more plugins but an error appears when i try to install them. More on this later I suppose.
